August, 2008

We have secured additional space for classes at Class Act Dance in Wilton. ADC will rent space there on Tuesday and Thursdays. We look forward to an exciting year in our additional space at CAD. This space may be closer for some of you.

Margaret Callahan, a former student of forty years ago, and principal dancer in Madame's Saratoga Ballet Company, visited Madame in late July. Margaret has retired from performing and now teaches Ballet in Alabama.

Ian Morris, began his dance study with Madame at the age of sixteen. Ian was a member of the Phyllis Latin Dance Company and performed in Moscow, Russia with the Company in 2002. Ian received a full scholarship with the Joffrey Ballet Company in 2004 where he was discovered by Elie Lazar. When Elie left Joffrey to form his own Company, Ian left with him. Ian is now a member of the Montgomery Ballet Co., Lazar Ballet NYC, and guests with Andalusia and other Companies throughout the US and Canada. Congratulations! Ian...we are very proud of you.

Colin Hislop began his dance study with Madame when he was 13. He was an apprentice with the Phyllis Latin Dance Company during their 2002 Russian tour. Colin is now dancing with Montgomery Ballet Company for the second year. Congratulations Colin! We are very proud of you.

Chad Nell, a former student, was the Doll Maker in a "Doll Makers Christmas" performed at the Saratoga Music Hall in 1998. Chad graduated from UCLA as a Theater/Acting major. Chad has done TV, Summer Stock in LA, Toured Europe with a Dance Company and has now written a book, under the alias of Max Deale. "Sold Out...So What!" hits the book stores August 1st. Madame has the first copy, (autographed and dedicated to her). Buy it...it's great.
